Fue en un art\u00edculo del Wall Street Journal. Tres d\u00e9cadas despu\u00e9s su uso ya forma parte del lenguaje del d\u00eda al d\u00eda para referirse a las barreras invisibles, no expl\u00edcitas, con las que se encuentran las mujeres para poder ascender en sus carreras profesionales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Son innegables los<strong> avances de la mujer en el mercado laboral<\/strong> en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, pero los datos tambi\u00e9n demuestran que la igualdad real (en cargos de responsabilidad, en sueldo, en conciliaci\u00f3n familiar) todav\u00eda es una aspiraci\u00f3n ut\u00f3pica en nuestra sociedad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para entender por qu\u00e9 se siguen perpetuando las desigualdades en sociedades donde, legalmente, hombre y mujer son iguales, ponemos el foco en otro t\u00e9rmino muy gr\u00e1fico: \u201cel suelo pegajoso\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entendemos por \u201csuelo pegajoso\u201d las <strong>cargas familiares que adhieren a las mujeres a su casa<\/strong> y les impiden desarrollar todo su potencial laboral y personal. Muchas europeas todav\u00eda sienten presi\u00f3n social (familiar, de su pareja, o autoimpuesta) para ser las principales responsables del cuidado de los miembros de su familia y de las tareas dom\u00e9sticas. Esto las empuja a realizar dobles jornadas laborales (fuera y dentro de casa) o incluso a no integrarse en el mercado laboral porque no pueden desatender las cargas familiares que la tradici\u00f3n de la sociedad patriarcal les hace sentir como propias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra variante es el suelo pegajoso que no nos impide trabajar, pero s\u00ed hace que arrastremos m\u00e1s carga: el conocido como<strong> s\u00edndrome de superwoman<\/strong>. Llevar adelante la casa, los hijos y adem\u00e1s esforzarse para demostrar la val\u00eda en el puesto de trabajo pasa factura f\u00edsica y an\u00edmicamente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En definitiva, en la b\u00fasqueda de la igualdad tal vez debemos dejar de mirar hacia arriba, hacia techos de cristal, para mirar hacia abajo.
